Allen Stern of CenterNetworks is hosting an event, a "mixer" on September 27th.

CenterNetworks, like AlleyInsider, seem to be a new breed of content related sites and communities that, aside from a particular focus on the New York area (excellent!), really are producing insightful, thoughtful commentary about web and related businesses, asking tough questions and getting way beyond standard-issue hype.
